For realization of the self-reliant national defense constructed by advanced military power, Defence Acquisition Program Administration(DAPA) of the Republic of Korea was launched as of January 1, 2006 in order to perform more transparent and systematical tasks in defense capability improvement programs, defense industry promotion, and defense material procurement.

We have achieved significant progress and fruition for the past three years after the birth of DAPA. However, the current state of national security and the global economic recession urge us to perform our mission with greater passion and effort more than ever before.

To become the nation keeper who will develop our country into the more advanced state, we, DAPA, would like to make following promises.

First, we will devote ourselves for construction of the healthy and strong defence power.

We will economically supply superior weapon systems, equipment, and materials to our armed forces on time by establishing customer-oriented and efficient Defense Program Implementation System, expanding our expertism, and extensively applying site-focused program management method and advanced scientific method.

Second, we will become the forerunner for the economic rescue and the green growth policy.

We will improve our systems in all areas by regulation reformation, expand our investment in the national defense R&D, nurture and support advanced small/middle sized defense companies, and maximize defence industry export to foster the defense industries as a new active power for economic growth.

Last, we will realize defence acquisition programs that are loved and credited by our national citizens.

I and all the personnel of DAPA will become public servants serving our national citizens and will execute defense acquisition programs more efficiently and transparently in order to become the nation keeper who earn trust from our national citizens, armed forces and defence industries who are our clients.
